Wear it in Good Health…

Ok so here’s something I’ve been wondering. Have you ever worn new clothes, and someone says to you “Wear it in good health”? I have. Every new clothing item I get, I get a WIIGH with it. So here’s what I’m wondering: If I’m supposed to wear all the new clothes I get in good health…

What am I supposed to wear when I’m sick?!

Is WIIGH an order? Do I have to wear this shirt in good health? Or is it just a suggestion? Oh that’s a nice shirt, it would be a shame to barf on it. Wear it in good health. But all the same, when you get an ugly clothing item, you still get a WIIGH with it. So…what are you supposed to wear when you’re sick? Hmm…

Where it in bad health for a change!

From what I know of this, wear it in good health is a blessing, not an order. It is another way merely to ask for good things to happen: “I hope that you always have good health.” The wearing of that shirt or any other is secondary.

  2. Ok, so then why do people reserve this blessing for only when you have new clothes on?

Why don’t people greet you randomly saying, “Good health,” instead of implying that your shirt shouldn’t be worn when you’re sick? Do we have a limited amounts of blessings to give, so we’ve developed some arbitrary cultural agreement that we will only give good health blessings when someone has new clothes?
