Spy Music

Yes, you have heard this before. It’s in The Matrix, and about 1 million other movies. Apparently, it’s called ‘Spybreak!’.

iTunes just warned me…

I’m browsing through the iTunes library right now, looking for music to buy. I’m using the ‘Just For You – beta’ thing, to get recommended songs. I get to the end of the list.

I click the ‘more’ button, just in case, and there’s a pop-up that reads something like this.
‘Thank you for purchasing from iTunes. Your purchase is important to us. Please back up your music in case your computer fails.’

…So now I have to be worried about my computer ‘failing’? Oy…

Installing Linux

I’ve decided that I want to run an Uru server. I have a computer I’m going to buy, but until then I’m using a little piece of crap computer that I got for free. It’s got 128mb of RAM and less than a 1ghz processor, which I don’t think is fast enough to run an anything server on, but it is something. I’m going to use the computer for practice installing Linux and the Uru servers, and possibly run a local Uru server on it. I’m using Ubuntu Linux 5.10 for the OS, because I like Ubuntu. It’s the king of freeware. It comes pre-installed with Firefox, Thunderbird, and The Gimp, three of the five best freeware programs on the internet (the free five are Firefox, Thunderbird, The Gimp, Blender, and Trillian). All computers should come equipped with them, sadly most do not.

Anyway, I’m going to post updates about the install here.

EDIT: Oh and I just realized that Tomato (the new computer) has 2 30gb IDE drives, which I can use in my 2 main computers when I get the real server (my computers require IDE drives sadly, but I can use these!). That means that I’ll have $300 to spend on whatever I want!

-7:26AM Ubuntu install disc is successfully burnt (I’m going to school now)
-7:45PM Ubuntu disc was incorrectly burnt, a new one is being burnt.
-7:47PM Ubuntu disc 2 is successfully burnt.
-8:00PM New cables from upstairs brought down here.
-8:14PM Ubuntu is installing
-7:25AM Ubuntu (with GUI) successfully installed! In fact, I’m posting from the linux computer now! 😀

Triskadekaphobophobia

I am a triskadekaphobophobe, which means I am afraid of triskadekaphobes, who are people who are afraid of the number 13. Today is friday the 13th, and I know that somewhere there is a little person cowering in the corner of a padded room, barely keeping himself from tears because of the date. That man scares me.

Dr. Hobo

Dr. Hobo is (was) a character from VG cats, one of the funniest comics on the internet (the source of such jokes as the rat-flail and “Moniez for n00bz, plz!”). He was one of the funniest characters in the comic, in my opinion. He was first introduced as a doctor in this comic, and he
only
got
better.
Seriously.
Yeah, this one too.
Ok, I think I’ve made my point.

But then they had to go and kill him. Well, this will not go unnoticed! WE WILL AVENGE YOU, DR.HOBO!

Dream

I had a dream once…
In that dream, my friend Kato sent me an IM that said this:

Kato: hey Zib!
Me: hey, sup?
Kato: check out this site:
Kato: http://www.guildofagecrafters.org
Me: NO WAY!

And I clicked the link…And I saw those beautifully dark blue forums…
….And there was a new post from Bedford…
…And then I woke up, and the forums were still down…

…Ah, but what a dream…What a dream…
