Thunder Blizzard

Well, we didn’t get a snow day. But heck, we should have.

An hour before school starts, the snow begins to fall. It starts slow, like most storms, but an hour later, it’s pouring. The snowplows are nowhere to be seen. Three hours later, you can’t see 5 yards ahead of you. At 1:00, there’s a clap of thunder, and a lightning flash. Crazy! It’s like something out of a horror story, there’s so much snow, plus the thunder…

When we get to our driveway (which is slanted upwards slightly), we can’t get in. We get out and shovel a bit, but to no avail. We leave the car half in the street (I live on a semi-quiet street), and come back two ours later, when the storm has stopped. We manage to get the car in, but only after 15 minutes of shoveling…

Like I said before, a snow day would have been good…
