I’ve decided that I want to run an Uru server. I have a computer I’m going to buy, but until then I’m using a little piece of crap computer that I got for free. It’s got 128mb of RAM and less than a 1ghz processor, which I don’t think is fast enough to run an anything<\/em> server on, but it is something. I’m going to use the computer for practice installing Linux<\/a> and the Uru servers<\/a>, and possibly run a local Uru server on it. I’m using Ubuntu Linux 5.10 for the OS, because I like Ubuntu. It’s the king of freeware. It comes pre-installed with Firefox<\/a>, Thunderbird<\/a>, and The Gimp<\/a>, three of the five best freeware programs on the internet (the free five are Firefox<\/a>, Thunderbird<\/a>, The Gimp<\/a>, Blender<\/a>, and Trillian<\/a>). All computers should come equipped with them, sadly most do not.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I’m going to post updates about the install here.<\/p>\n

EDIT: Oh and I just realized that Tomato (the new computer) has 2<\/em> 30gb IDE drives, which I can use in my 2 main computers when I get the real server (my computers require IDE drives sadly, but I can use these!). That means that I’ll have $300 to spend on whatever I want!<\/p>\n
